Dreamhost billing nightmare

I’ve just recieved an email notifying me that I owe $250 and will be charged another $250 at the end of the month. It seems that they’re trying to auto bill me monthly for a annual fee! What makes matters worse is that I forgot my password, and since clicking the ‘forgot password’ link, i’ve recieved no email from the system stating how to recover or reset my pw lol. I resorted to posting a message via their general enquiry form. Once i’ve regained access to the panel i’ll post a billing enquiry.

    (“XXXX”) has a balance of $669.55 (including any charges not
    due until 2009-01-28), with $669.55 due (since 2008-12-28).

    You also have $669.55 past due (owed since 2008-11-28), and if
    by 2009-01-28 you do not pay at least the $669.55 part, your
    account will be automatically suspended until payment is received.

    If you would like to CLOSE your account with DreamHost, just visit:

    Log in if you need to, then click the “close this account” link. If you close
    your account you won’t be charged $669.55 on 2009-01-28… please stay!

    haha yer i got the same thing. good thing i was away for a few days and only noticed when it was all resolved 🙂

    Ack. Through a COMPLETE bumbling on our part, we accidentally attempted
    to charge you for the ENTIRE year of 2008 (and probably 2009!) ALREADY
    (it was all due to a fat finger)!

    I’m really really realllly embarassed about this, but you have nothing
    to worry about. You can just ignore any confusing billing messages you
    received recently; I already removed all those bum future charges on
    your account and fixed everything up.

    Thank you very very much for your patience with this.. I PROMISE
    this won’t happen again!

    Please let me know if you have any other billing concerns or if I missed
    something or if you have any other questions at all!
